GESPASA Lubricant Gear Pumps: EA-90 and EA-88
Compact, reliable and efficient solutions for lubricant
supply
The EA-90 and EA-88 gear pumps from GESPASA are designed for the
safe and continuous transfer of medium- to low-viscosity lubricating oils, with a
clear focus on compact installations, low maintenance and high availability. Their
positive-displacement gear design ensures stable flow and a
linear response to changes in back pressure, making flow-rate control easier in
lubrication lines and simplifying integration with meters or management systems. In addition, their
self-priming capability simplifies commissioning: they do not require pre-priming and can handle
suction lifts of up to 2.5 m from above-ground or underground tanks.
EA-90: for mobile or standalone applications
The EA-90 is designed for mobile or standalone applications, powered by
12 V or 24 V DC current. With a self-ventilated motor rated at 0.37 kW,
running at 1,500 rpm and continuous duty S1, it provides a flow rate of 20–25 L/min with
SAE 20/50 W oils at 25 °C. It maintains IP-55 protection against dust and
splashing water, and is fitted with a recirculating bypass set at 5–6 bar to protect the
circuit against overpressure. It includes clamps for direct battery connection with 2 m of cable,
which speeds up installation in vans, pick-ups or machinery. Typical current draw:
35–55 A (12 VDC) and 20–32 A (24 VDC). Maximum delivery head: 40 m. Inlet/outlet
threads: 1/2″ GAS (BSP).
EA-88: designed for fixed installations
The EA-88 is optimised for mains-powered fixed installations. Its single-phase
motor rated at 230 VAC, 50/60 Hz, delivers 0.74 kW and provides the same
flow-rate range (20–25 L/min with SAE 20/50 W at 25 °C), maintaining 1,500 rpm and
IP-55 protection. It incorporates a thermal protector, an ON/OFF switch and a 3 m cable
with a moulded plug for quick connection. The bypass system raises the threshold to 9–10
bar, widening the operating margin in systems with metering valves or long lines.
Suction capacity up to 2.5 m and delivery up to 40 m; connections
1/2″ GAS (BSP). Suitable for lubricating oils up to 350 cSt, providing versatility in
workshops, industry and public works. Typical current draw: 4–6 A.
Modular design and accessory compatibility
Both models share a robust and modular design philosophy. Compatibility with
hose-reels helps to keep the work area tidy and minimise pressure losses in
flexible sections, while integration with electronic or mechanical meters provides
supply traceability and consumption control. In mobile applications, the
EA-90 is supplied in pre-configured kits that include a hose-reel, metered
nozzle and mounting accessories, ideal for field service and fleets requiring
decentralised lubrication. In fixed stations, the EA-88 acts as the
core of dispensing columns and oil supply units, protecting the
pumping and metering assembly within weather-ready frames.
Recommended application sectors
Maintenance of agricultural machinery, civil engineering equipment, automotive workshops and
industrial vehicles, production lines with lubrication requirements, and service tanks
where space and ease of installation are decisive. GESPASA electric gear pumps provide
continuous flow with lower maintenance requirements than pneumatic alternatives, simplifying both
installation and day-to-day operation.
Why choose EA-90 and EA-88?
Because they combine compact size with stable performance, effective self-priming that
reduces installation time, and built-in protection through bypass to extend the
service life of valves, nozzles and meters. The EA-90 provides
power independence in 12/24 V for vehicles and remote equipment; the
EA-88, power and availability in 230 V for permanent installations.
In both cases, IP-55 protection, careful construction and compatibility with
industrial-quality accessories translate into reliability, safety and
control of the lubrication process.
Technical summary
The GESPASA Lubricant Gear Pumps, EA-90 and EA-88, are the benchmark pair for the
transfer of medium- and low-viscosity lubricants: flow rate 20–25 L/min, suction up
to 2.5 m and delivery up to 40 m, with 12/24 VDC or 230 VAC versions to suit
each working environment. Their self-priming design, recirculating bypass and
natural integration with hose-reels and meters make these pumps a safe investment
for operations seeking continuity, order and accuracy in oil
supply.
